BBC News: Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Linked to Increased Risk of Blood Clots and Stroke

"Women on HRT Treatment Should Be Aware That There Is an Increased Risk of Blood Clots and Possibly Stroke," According to BBC News.

In addition, Australian Menopause Society published an article, entitled "Menopausal Treatments and the Risk of Venous Thrombosis/Thromboembolism Hormone," showing that Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) containing oestrogens in tablet form and also selective oestrogen receptor modulators increase the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolus (PE).
